Start-node correspondence

Use start_job(kind="start_nodes") to match one explicit closed contour across 2–32 masters for 1–100 named glyphs.

"kind": "start_nodes",
"glyphs": ["o"],
"options": {"path": 0}
}

path is the contour index, default 0. masters selects master IDs; otherwise all are considered. referenceMaster defaults to the first selected master in font order. referenceNode defaults to its native start node. Omit delta.

The reference node is a matching landmark. The reference contour keeps its existing phase; other masters receive cyclic reorders through Glyphs' native start-node operation. Repeating the same successful job is a no-op.

Review get_job before applying. Ambiguous matches, incompatible topology, open contours and missing targets reject preparation before live writes. This supports correspondence; it does not repair arbitrary master incompatibility or replace a master.

Native application preserves contour geometry, node objects, metadata and hints. Review the result across masters, use native Undo/Redo or discard_job to restore it, and call accept_job only when persistence is authorized.
