Skills and tool boundaries
A skill supplies workflow guidance to an AI client. The server remains the same twenty-tool service whether or not the client loads a skill.
Use the included v2 skills to identify the font, scope work, inspect reports and review live results. Keep font names, artistic decisions and task-specific recipes in the request or workspace, outside the bridge.
The glyphs-mcp-scripting and glyphs-mcp-development skills can prepare reviewed native scripts or reusable plugins. Native execution uses python_script under script.native.v1 in the twenty-tool conversation workflow. Result tasks need no separate code review; writing a script includes review and does not itself authorize execution. Native scripting uses a detached pre-run copy with session-local whole-font restoration. Typed export and analysis retain their own workflows.
Match the skill package to the server version. A v1 skill may request commands that do not exist in v2; the migration guide describes the boundary.
